I was raised in a rural Wyoming community by a family of outdoor enthusiasts. Growing up in the mountains instilled a passion for spending my time in the wilderness with my dogs and husband, Dallas. From pack trips in the woods to riding motorcycles in the sand dunes, I've spent a significant portion of my life exploring nature. Before pursuing medicine, I worked in the agriculture industry as a professional livestock judge and earned a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. In the future, I will continue to enjoy my love of agriculture by raising cattle and being involved in local 4-H and FFA programs

.

My interest in medicine began to ignite in my early years of undergrad and the support of my family encouraged me to pursue a position at a medical laboratory, WyoMed. My time working with patients and the local clinicians at WyoMed fed my ambition to go back to school to become a physician. I loved spending my days helping the people of my community and I was eager to do more for them.

I am passionate about combining both my love for medicine and the outdoors by providing care in a rural community in the future. I found my niche at Rocky Vista University in the Rural and Wilderness Track where we are taught additional skills necessary to practice medicine in underserved communities and on the trail. I approach each step in my education with excitement and an eagerness to learn. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to practice, learn, to mentor and be mentored in the field of medicine.
